The best thing about working with Cindy is her dedication to her clients. She was always there for us and she took care of every detail, no matter how small. Plus she put up with us, not easy I'm sure. We loved working with her and anyone else would too!

Pittsburgh Real Estate Market Conditions

It's About Time!

January 3, 2009

Hello Pittsburgh!  It's a new year, and for many of us we are ready for change.  We want the housing market to stabilize, the stock market to rebound, and the overall economy to improve.  In light of the current market conditions, it can't get much worse so it's a good bet we'll begin to see the turnaround . . . although it may be slow and steady.  Pittsburgh never experienced the degree and level of challenges other cities and markets experienced, but we were certainly not exempt from home values depreciating in certain neighborhoods and areas.  There are pockets and areas in and around Pittsburgh experiencing some difficulties, but overall across the board the Pittsburgh marketplace is much stronger than in other cities.  This is due to the job market, home prices in relation to income, and the local economy.  Pittsburgh is one city finally getting the recognition and attention it deserves and is on the national radar.  Pittsburgh is projected to be one of the top places to live in 2009.  Not only is the Pittsburgh real estate housing market holding their own, the the entire region and state of Pennsylvania is outpacing many of the other cities across our nation.  It's about time the city of Pittsburgh gets the attention it deserves, and the local economy will benefit from the thousands of Westinghouse and other job opportunities.  By the way . . . go out and buy a home!  This is a tremendous opportunity to get a terrific value on a piece of the American dream.  There is ample inventory and very good pricing associated with most of what the Pittsburgh real estate market has to offer.  Furthermore, you can't ignore the fantastic buying opportunity associated with interest rates near historic levels.  Call for details!
